How do i make homemade french fries?

Q. Im really bored and when im bored i bake or cook and i want to make homemade french fries i don't have a deep fryer so yea how can i make them and if any of you guys had tasted french fries that sometimes they sell them with chicken/buffalo wings and do you know the recipe i love those french fries they taste different then the ones they sell at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.

These are my two favorite recipes for fries. The first one is made in a skillet,but the second one is baked in the oven.Both are good and spices can be varied to suit your mood and palate.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries


2 1/2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup water, or as needed
1 cup vegetable oil for frying


Slice potatoes into French fries, and place into cold water so they won't turn brown while you prepare the oil.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil is heating, sift the flour, garlic salt, onion salt, (regular) salt, and paprika into a large bowl. Gradually stir in enough water so that the mixture can be drizzled from a spoon.
Dip potato slices into the batter one at a time, and place in the hot oil so they are not touching at first. The fries must be placed into the skillet one at a time, or they will clump together. Fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries

4 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch thick fries
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 Tablespoons spicy brown mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt


Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, chili powder, mustard, and pepper. Add the potato slices, and stir until evenly coated. Arrange fries in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Then, turn the fries over, and continue to bake for 10 to 15 more minutes, until crispy and browned. Season with salt, and serve.
